Platforms

Overview

The Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Precision Diagnosis and Therapy for Major Gynecological Diseases provides a scientific research platform, which has nearly 80 sets of instruments and equipment, with a total asset value of more than 26 million yuan, including 21 sets of equipment above 300,000 yuan and 10 sets more than 500,000 yuan. The instruments and equipment of the platform have been accessed to multiple sharing systems including Zhejiang Provincial Public Science and Technology Innovation Platform, Zhejiang Major Scientific Instruments Open and Shared Platform, and Zhejiang University School of Medicine Core Facilities, and are open to researchers in universities, hospitals, and enterprises. There are five main sub-platforms including single-cell multi-omics platform, bio-computing platform, Drosophila research and development platform, imaging and spatial omics platform and molecular biology platform, which provide technical support for scientific research and teaching for Women's Hospital and Zhejiang University.

The single-cell multi-omics platform is one of the most comprehensive and advanced platforms in Zhejiang Province with an integrated set of processes including NGS library preparation, high-throughput sequencing, nucleic acid quality control and quantitative analysis, and DNA sonication.

The biocomputing platform provides high-performance computation and storage support services for biological information data to ensure the construction and development of biological information and genomics science data centers. At present, the high-performance computing cluster (Level B computer room) with over 360 T storage space includes 24 thin nodes, 1 high-performance fat node, 4 GPU artificial intelligence nodes, 2 control nodes, 6 parallel storage nodes, etc.

The Drosophila R&D platform utilizes the classic model animal Drosophila model to provide basic and translational research services oriented to major gynecological diseases. The Imaging and Spatial Omics platform is a comprehensive imaging functional unit that provides research services such as animal tissue or live cell biological imaging, visualization of cell subsets, and analysis of cell-spatial interactions. The Molecular Biology platform has PCR area, cell culture room and P2 studio, as well as the infrastructure and equipment required for molecular biology experiments, to ensure the scientific research needs of the research team such as experimental operation of pathogenic microorganisms, cell culture, biochemical detection of cell and molecular biology, and data analysis.
