The Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Precision Diagnosis and Therapy for Major Gynecological Diseases was approved by the Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province in January 2022, affiliated to the Women's Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine (WHZJU). 

The laboratory is located in the Huajiachi campus of Zhejiang University, with a total area of 3,080 square meters, of which the construction area of the research building is 2,585.4 square meters, and the total value of assets are 26.788 million yuan. The laboratory carries several functional platforms，including single-cell multi-omics platform, biocomputing platform, imaging and spatial multi-omics platform, model animal experiment platform, cell culture platform, molecular biology platform, and BSL-2 laboratory platform, etc. The main supporting disciplines of the laboratory include Zhejiang University's national key (cultivation) discipline "Obstetrics and Gynecology", national clinical key gynecology and obstetrics, medical genetics and bioinformatics, and the supporting research bases include the National Drug Clinical Trial Institute, the National Women’s Regional Medical Center (construction unit), affiliated obstetrics and gynecology hospital, postdoctoral research station, as well as postgraduate and doctoral specialties.

Focusing on the frontiers of scientific and technological development and major clinical needs of major gynecological diseases, the laboratory carries out original and exploratory basic and clinical research focusing on three directions including: 1） Precision screening and immunotherapy of uterine malignancies, 2)Metastasis and drug resistance mechanism and new treatment technologies of ovarian cancer, 3) Pathogenesis and personalized comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis. It aims to build a world-class research center for precision diagnosis and treatment of major gynecological diseases, cultivate international basic and clinical scientists with international vision and outstanding innovation ability, produce high-level scientific research results, prevent and treat major gynecological diseases thorugh precision screening, diagnosis and treatment, protect women's health, and contribute to "Healthy China Initiative"
