ZJU-VIB Joint Center for Single-Cell Multiomics(under construction)

Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Precision Diagnosis and Therapy for Major Gynecological Diseases cooperated with Flemish Institute of Biotechnology (VIB) in Belgium to construct a Joint Center for Single Cell Multiomics, as well as a Zhejiang International Science and Technology Cooperation Base Project, and invited Professor Diether Lambrechts as the co-director of the joint research center.

As one of the founding member institutions of the EU-LIFE Alliance, the VIB is a world-leading bioscience and biotechnology research institution, internationally renowned for its strategic and fundamental research model focusing on innovation and transformation.

     As the director of the Center for Cancer Biology at the VIB in Belgium, Professor Diether Lambrechts specialized in single-cell multiomics and cancer genomics, published more than 118 papers in international high-impact journals such as Nature (IF > 10), H-Index 97, citations > 43000, led the development of the first CE IVD-certified microsatellite instability detection kit, as well as commercialized reagents to detect homologous recombination deficient states.
