Biography:
Dr. Zhang is now a professor of Women’s Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine as well as the director of general gynecology. Dr. Zhang has been involved in translational and clinical research to develop novel treatments for endometriosis and adenomyosis, such as double-flap adenomyomectomy for adenomyosis, and non-stapler segmental resection for deep endometriosis. A new trick for an old dog- mifepristone for adenomyosis treatment, A new self-designed rectal probe for the surgical treatment of deep endometriosis, etc. His basic research mainly focused on the mechanisms of endometriosis-associated pain, and was supported by the grants of the National Key R&D Program of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He is a regular contributor to peer reviewed scientific journals including Human Reproduction, Fertility and Sterility, Obstetrics & Gynecology, etc. He has published over 100 scientific articles, and authored a book of Adenomyosis published by people's Health Press in 2018.
